"We started just like every other roofer. We were just knocking doors and essentially going at it without real rhyme or reason. Just running as many roofing appointments as we could and trying to sell as many roofs as we could.
I created the very first draft of HIRevPro on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet was realistically just designed to put us all on the same pricing model so that we didn't have more than one price floating around.
After about the 9000th time that I fixed the spreadsheet, we hired an app developer to create a program that my sales team couldn't edit. I also really wanted to be able to have a customer facing interface so that we could get the homeowner involved in the process. That really changed the way that we were able to present to a homeowner.
We immediately noticed a vast increase in our average job size. We also had a much higher success rate in upgrade sales, and we're in a storm market, so that's not very common!
The other thing that we had a big increase in was actually customer satisfaction because the customers felt like they were more involved in that process, as opposed to us, just being pushy salesmen.
After implementing the program, Excel Roofing & Construction went from $1.1 million to $3.9 million in sales in 12 months."
